Looking for a vendor for custom wiring harness

Hi,

I am working on a resto custom 1982 SC and I need a simple wiring harness (basics circuits, no A/C, no radio/ no fancy stuff) for that car.

Any idea of who can help me?

Thanks.

Take a stock harness and remove what you don’t need.

Contact Pelican "Timmy2". Dennis does great work!

Thumbs up on Dennis.

I can vouch for Dennis as well, I have had a couple harnesses made by him a d they were top notch.

Here’s his ad on the for sale forum http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-used-parts-sale-wanted/740894-building-sc-mid-year-engine-harnesses.html

While I never purchased from Timmy2, I absolutely would in a heartbeat. The guy's been super helpful (and responsive) when I had wiring issues.

I used Restoration Design in Canada. Pete was really helpful and the quality top notch.

I have all of the harnesses for my EFI kits built by Dennis Powell (Timmy2). Excellent, pro-built results.

Tried contacting Timmy2, no response. Need front harness for a 1968 Porsche 911 Targa.

A good number of folks on here providing goods and services, despite doing so at an expert level, are doing so as passion projects and have regular jobs. This is to say, give some time for a reply.

Thank you

I replied today. I’d recommend Steve Smith at 911 high voltage for 1968 and earlier as he specializes in them. I’m more of a 69-83 person.
I’ve built earlier ones, but Steve is a lot more experienced with them.

Thank you

Haven't seen anyone mention: https://www.kroonwireharnesses.com/ so I thought I would put it out there - no affiliation or personal experience just familiar with them as I've been looking at their Cibie harness.

Yup, but only for 6 more months and then free of the “regular job” …
Yippee!!!

Custom wiring harnesses for classic Porsches are our specialty and we produce them for customers all over the world. In principle, the earlier models such as the 911SC up to 1983 (and the 3.2 up to 1984) have separate wiring harnesses for many systems and therefore not much customization is required. Making it simpler is simply omitting the separate wiring for mirrors and electric windows. The same applies to the engine wiring. From the 1985 Carrera 3.2 this changes and a lot of wiring is combined in the main trunk harness (think of audio, alarm, door locks, heated window nozzles). Greeting from the Netherlands, Gerard Kroon.

To give an idea about the difference.

Main trunk harness 3.2 , 278 wires with a total length of 365 meters.

Main trunk harness 911SC 75 wires with a total length of 75 meters.

Thanks for all the responses.
My friend already contacted Timmy and we are discussing which circuits are going to be included in the harness.

Literally it is a hotrod (No a/c, no efi, MSD ignition, basic basic stuff.
and that is why we don't want to use a regular harness.

This is a great community.
Thanks again for taking your time to answer.
