Question Bosch CDI to MSD 6AL - 2024

I'd like to install an MSD 6AL box to replace the Bosch CDI, but i'd like to keep if possible the black plastic connector and buy or DIY build one

I found this thread but the PDF is lost...
https://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/455592-bosch-cdi-msd-answers-here-2.html

I wonder if anyone sells something to easily adapt the MSD to CDI

I read somewhere there is a user Timmy2 that creates those harnesses?

or are there other places to find the wiring and parts to buy etc...

Are you looking for the black 3 or 6-pin CDI connectors? If so, I found some at Kroon wire harness dot com

Yes, your 911SC uses a 6 pin CDI (6 wires). When using an MSD, a seventh wire is needed for a direct connection to 12V (red wire) at the starter motor.

You are better off running a 12 gauge wire down to the starter to connect to the big black cable from the battery. That MSD B+ wire is high current.

Timmy2 (Dennis) rewired my harness to convert my ‘71 from CDI to MSD Streetfire. Great work, excellent communication, reasonable price. I highly recommend him.

+++ what doswald said. I have the Timmy2 connector for MSD in my '70 with 3.0. Just plug and play. Super easy. No wiring diagrams needed. Quality work. Give him a call. He's a good guy.

Why not rebuild your good old robust German Bosch unit instead of the MSD?
