Newbie Q - those clips for the crank sensors on a 3.23 Carrera?
Hello, FNG here...
[1988 Carrera 3.2] Just replaced my head temp sensor and even though I bagged the various parts of other things I took apart - I still managed to lose one of the crank sensor clips - those square-ish wire things that hold the VAG plugs to the harness. I don't even see a part # in the Porsche parts catalog for them. I can rig something up but I would much prefer to do it right and do it once. Do the new replacement sensors come with them? I have tried to search the forums on this one but not seen anything. Thank you for any advice. |

Thanks! That's a big help. I had no idea what they were called.
Mouser seems to have a great selection by the way, although it appears that the newer models have those clips integrated. I'll probably buy a couple that are as close to the correct size as I can find and see if I can re-use a clip from one. This one looks pretty close to the "pulse sensor" connector: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/TE-Connectivity-AMP/282762-1? The whole selection is here if anyone else is looking: https://www.mouser.com/c/connectors/automotive-connectors/?m=TE%20Connectivity&series=Junior%20Power%20Timer |
