This is one of my favourite videos about Porsches in YT, some young canadians bought three aircooled 911's and driving them home to Kitchener, Ontario.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28hl_7zojy0
So years ago there was not too much hazzle to import these cars afaics...don't know how's today...

I enjoyed the video. A parallel in my life was a cross country trip in 1978 from the Bay area to New England. I had to get 3 vehicles cross country (3000 mi). The plan was to drive non stop. There were 2 drivers in my 1949 pickup running a 1956 Nailhead Buick engine pulling a 1931 Model A Ford on a tow bar and 2 younger guys in my 1960 190SL Mercedes. In the end we did sleep one night in Indiana because one driver had a business commitment. Lots of experiences!

What does your tire size / inflation sticker say (on the engine compartment cross panel)?

I'd think these are the sizes you want...

I just ordered a set of Michelin Pilot sport AS4
seems like a pretty good tire for my general intended use.

Got these tires installed.,
Had a local shop go through the car today and everything came out good.
Compression test showed 150 +\- across all 6 cylinders.
a couple things were noted like a burned out fog light, under hood light, everything seems ok!!!

DAS Sport bolt-in bar fits perfectly! I'm not 6' anything, so my head is far from impact danger. I run Pole Position ABE seats, that are fixed backs, no reclining. A simple notch at base of bar mounts is all that's needed for seats to gain full retraction. YMMV

Your back "seat" area will be restricted even more with roll bar.

Pilot Sport A/S 4 were delivered on latest gen Chevrolet Corvettes! They should be the ultimate do all tire.

Your Cabrio looks like a solid start! Get out and enjoy it!

Stock size, same size tires as you, 3 months ago, tireguy pulled some tricks to get them

It might be another month before you can get good tires. Seems like late winter is when new tires come in. I was a little surprised, had mismatched tires for a long time

I will probably never drive the car in rain or very cold

Bridgestone is my favorite flavor

I created my own RS rear seat since nobody makes it for a Cabriolet in kit form.
