1972 911 interior door handle attachment

How do you clip the plastic clip that attaches the inner door handle with the operating mechanism inside the door? Its a 1972 911.

A little silicone grease on the ball end and hard push. Rob

For that reason, snap the connector on while holding the armrest, then mount the armrest. Rob
