Gearbox Parts Suppliers
I'm looking at some gearbox parts like syncros and shift selectors. It seems like there are a handful of suppliers in addition to the Porsche Genuine parts around. Is there an appreciable quality difference between "German", "O.E.M.", and others vs genuine?
Is "O.E.M." Just the Getrag part without the "P" logo? Thanks |

There is one parts supplier, may not be for trans parts, whose name is OEM but is not an O.E.M manufacturer. Just be careful.
As for quality differences, yes there will be some but would have to be determined on a part by part examination. The cheaper parts require you to do the QA and be satisfied that they meet specification.
