help with rear wheel bearings

all,

im replacing the rear wheel bearings on a 1984 Carrera and it seems that one side is different than the other. i checked the part number in question and its a 9113315140R. i ordered two bearings for the 84 and then discoverd that the bearing in that one side did not fit. i always thought the bearings were the same from 74-89. what is the correct rear wheel bearing for that control arm??? is there a chance an oversized bearing was used? is that even possible? i measured right at 83mm outside diameter of the big bearing. the othere side was 80

thanks!
