9911 sc steering wheel with extended hub

Does someone make a hub to extend a standard SC steering wheel? (To extend, move the steering wheel away from the dash edge)...
I am looking for such an adapter hub or a SC factory extended hub steering wheel...
Please let me know what you know of or have ...
Thx bob

Bob, that was the 4 spoke wheels on the Carrera that were extended hubs.

Bruce and Bob, there was a three spoke factory wheel with the extended hub, I have one. I believe the longer hub could be easily replicated by adding the extra length (it's 25mm by my measurement) into the the standard hub. You'd need to add that between the collapsible cage section and one of the (cast) ends. I think it could be done with an appropriate sleeve and I would certainly insist on a skilled welder to do the joins; you would retain the collapsible cage length for crash safety. The standard steering column clamshell top/bottom moldings still fit with the factory extended hub. It makes a significant improvement to the ergonomics of the car, at least for me, eliminating the shoulder pain I received with the standard wheel/hub. Maybe it's something shops shy away from doing for customers due to liability concerns? I took photos when I swapped mine; PM me if you'd like me to send them. Best, John

I noticed this item from Car-Bone...

https://car-bone.pl/shop/spacer-sc-oem-30-mm/

Anyone know how it works? I have an SC steering wheel, but on mine, the hub and splines are welded together as one piece, so I don't understand how this thing is supposed to work. Can anyone shed a little light on it (Noboco?)

That's a neat solution. It appears to retain the female splines in the stock collapsible part. You'd drill out the factory rivets which fasten the wheel to the hub and insert this in between, using the bolts (likely 6mm thread) to replace the rivets. You'd get the reach extension AND the cosmetic aspect of the factory extended wheel, filling in the extra space created between the wheel and the column clamshell moldings. Much better than my suggestion (above).

In effect, this would allow anyone with a stock SC three spoke wheel to get all the benefits of the unicorn factory extended hub wheel. I'd call it a good deal and would imagine Noboco could sell dozens of them. John

Thx everyone for your input here...
So I understand the carbone offering correctly, the carbone part is pictured in Black correct and the horn/blinker ring attaches normally without issue...
I will check this out ... thx again

The hub extension that car bone sell works *only* on wheels with the extended hub.

Bump on this.
Anyone know the cheapest way to extend a normal 3-spoke wheel? I tried the one from AASE which is the same as referenced from car-bone and it is only applicable for bolted spline hubs which i don't have.
Rivets (wheel to collapsible column) can be ground off and spacer installed and bolted, but haven't found a source for a spacer...

I went extra cheap and used a piece of 3 inch exhaust pipe expanded to match the inside of the collapsible section. Cut the collapsible section and used small #4 screws to attach each half to the ends of the pipe. Finally, covered it with a 3" PVC pipe joiner that I plastidipped black. looks remarkably stock but gets me a more modern driving position being 6'+. I believe the total extension is around 4".

The factory spacers do come up for sale rarely.

I bought an extended hub fatty wheel to restore and in the meantime I found I could transfer the spacer to my 930 wheel. So I'm running that now until I get around to restoring the fatty wheel.

It is a great addition to the car, surprised the aftermarket has done nothing.
