Is this an early 911 part?
I got this about 35 years ago in a bunch of used and NOS 356 parts from an ex-Porsche dealer.
It looks like a giant coil bracket and is about the size of a 356 oil filter bracket. The ID of the clamping hole is 116 mm. Any help in identifying it would be appreciated. Thanks John ![]()

It looks like a coil bracket but 911s only have one hole per side.
