Smoke Test………

Hokie,

I have been following your CIS simplifying project from the very beginning. Would you share with us how you did the smoke test? A picture of the engine during the smoke test would be very helpful. Something is not right. Thanks.

Tony

Hi Tony -

I don't have a picture of performing the smoke test, but the smoke is being injected in the vacuum side (engine) of the brake booster line. The air filter is lined in plastic to prevent the smoke from escaping through the air intake. I pull a vacuum line to make sure the smoke is working it's way through the system. Pretty straight forward. I've done this a number of times, so pretty comfortable with it.

Unfortunately I have to go out for town for a while, so will have to shelve this until I return. Thanks for everyone's suggestions and support -
