Firewall insulation

What have folks found for replacement firewall insulation? I was thinking about replacing while I was back there...lots of crumbling coming off of mine.
Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure Daniel (dg567) makes and sells a high quality engine compartment insulation pad.

Saw this product used on someone’s build thread.

Product looked great installed. I made a note of it, but haven’t done an install yet so can’t comment on performance yet.

The old vinyl and foam was intended as a sound deadener. Mine crumbled away and bits of rubber were all over - shroud, airbox, even burning on the heat exchangers. So here’s some tips on removing it….
Cover the engine with a sheet or tarp and then pull away the old stuff in large chunks. Use a plastic putty knife to reach the back areas for the cling ons.
Shop vac the small stuff you can see.
Compressed air the leftover bits. It’s going to drop on trans and HE’s so be thorough and Do this outdoors. That old dried foam is like thick dust.
Vac again, blow out again. I still found/find the old foam all over 3 yrs later.
You see how much glue residue remains, that could be tedious and timely to clean.
I was going to use the aluminum foil self-adhesive Heat/sound stuff on the interior but without that old vinyl, I did not find the cabin any noisier or any bit warmer.
But these barriers have good claims. Will maybe do engine bay if ever I drop it.
