High beam dash light
Small detail I know... but I'm curious, my high beam indicator light (in the top part of my tach) is a bright yellow colour. Almost too bright... as if it's just the bulb behind. I'm thinking that it's missing its (blue-coloured?) transparent cover. What colour is the high beam tach light normally? [North American 77 911S]
[The side/parking light indicator (in the speedo) is a not-too-bright green.] The only reason I'm at all bothered by this is that the light is distractingly bright. -MAS

Mine is blue, and I think yours should be as well. IIRC, is is stipulated that it be blue by law or some agreement.

Thanks, yes I figured that it should be blue. That means that the blue cover must have come loose and dropped into the interior of the tach. I'm not sure if it's worth taking that tach apart for that (unless I can do that easily).

It should be blue and I suspect you are correct in thinking it came loose and is now laying inside the tach. If it was me I would just pull the high beam bulb out, put some blue paint on it and slide it back in when dry.
