That looks fantastic, John. All of your mods have been very tastefully thought out. One of my all-time favourite 993s!

John, you could paint "Barbie" in pink down the side and i would still like your ducktailed (and duckbilled ) RS-look!!
max

PS...i would choose the silver Carrera over the Barbie though

With a duck tail to boot on a 993! I love it!

John, come on...admit it...you're a total early 911 junkie. And of course, you're "admired by R Gruppe." Now go out and find yourself some custom 18" Fuchs to finish the look.

Great looking car!

Now only some "minor" front and rear bumper and hood/decklid work and your backdating exercise will be complete!

BR,

Kurt

Cool stripes, cool tail. Where does one find a Duck for a 993?

Looks great John. I think adding the little color strips onto the bumpers would help finish it off as well.

Man, that is one cool car! I wonder what it would look like in white with red script?

Don't change a thing! It looks very very good. It's the first "backdated" 993 that I have seen, but I like it.

I have to stand alone against this one. IMHO the script clashes with the mood of the car. As the 993 is understated in it's styling as compared to an earlier 911, so too is the script inconsistent with the flavor of the car.

The duck tail I fully support - again IMHO it is completely in sync with the subtle, powerful curves of the 993 body.

The script brings to mind (I won't say reminds me of) "tarted up" versions of several decent looking detroit cars during the 70's and 80's.

An early 911, or even more so, a 3.2 carrera already has in-your-face styling - that's why things like turbo tails play well on those cars.

This could be an overstatement, but the Carrera script seen here is almost a mis-match as much as a whale tail would be.

...now that's a ridiculous statement. What a goof.

Keep it - it looks great!
