Here's Mine- I plan to add a 911 Targa within the next 2 years- probably have to get a storage unit and alternate- Porsche in summer, Rangie in winter. And I have a question- have any of you guys used Rust-Oleum Epoxy Shield garage floor coating? I plan on using it next spring when it warms up again- tiles would be too fragile for the studded winter tires on the Mini and Rover.
Any thoughts? Cheers, Paul.

Paul, I have used the floor paint from griot's garage and it wears like iron. I run forklifts and trucks on it all the time with out any damage.

See I don't get it. If you can afford not one but 2 Fcars, why go thru the hassle of a lift? You could just buy a bg garage, build one, or if you really really don't want to ove and have no lot space, buy the house next door and park inside it.
Also, he has drywall - shouldn't his garage be paneled in bubinga wood? |

investLT,
I just got a lift also. Damn garage door opener isn't quite as high as I anticipated. Dented the 84's sun roof in two spots. Oh well, I was planning on having a paintless dent repairer look after 20 years of dents anyway. Some Beach! regards, Steve

These pics are borrowed from f-chat's web site. This is an actual private garage at someone's private residence somewhere in the Northeastern U.S. From all accounts, a really nice guy owns all of these cars, obviously wealthy, but a regular guy who just loves cars. Enjoy....

I bought my first homes in the spring, and am just now able to spend some time in the garage. This thread is awesome... I have lots of ideas now. I have a question though... what do you guys do about exhaust fumes? I met a guy a few years ago that used a furnace fan with a length of heavy hose that he'd slip over the car exhaust if he was running a car in the garage. Seemed to work great, and I'm tempted to go the same route, unless anyone has a better suggestion.

I don't know who he is. He's probably a Pelican board member.
Here's a link to a few more photos... http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41658

Update:
![]() The rain has stopped and the roof and gutters have been finished. I’m really happy with the color and texture of it and it will probably be the roof we will put on the house when it needs to be replaced. The siding has started to mold in some places from all the rain. We sprayed the areas with a bleach and water mixture and it appears to have taken care of the problem. Hopefully we can get some paint up before it comes back. ![]() ![]() This is an image of the natural grade of the land in the front of the building. It slopes away and is about 12-15 inches lower than the entrance of the shop. ![]() ![]() ![]() I had 25 tons of road base delivered last week to help fill in area. I had to bring some dirt from the back of the property and fill in the void in the front by the foundation and to the left of the shop so I could make the road base last and cover the whole area. ![]() ![]() A shot of the parking area in front of the shop that has been fully graded with the Kubota and compacted with the F250 A huge thanks to Matt M for loaning us his brand new tractor. Man I want one of these… Who would think how much fun moving dirt would be.![]() Ive started the electric and this is a shot of one of the walls. The layout will be the same on all the walls. Double gang plugs on top at 46 inches and single directly below, total of 6 sets on each long wall. The front half of the building will share two 20 amp circuits and the back half the same and everything is being wired in 12 gauge. The electrical work has proven to be fun and relaxing once I got the hang of it. A big thanks to Richard for being willing to take my random calls on how to do certain tasks relating code and thanks to Scott Peterson for all his help pulling wire and installing boxes. That’s it for now… All shop pics to date: http://www.norcal-cobras.com/shop/ David
