My new RSR look,17" Wheels

I just got an email from Mike Linsey of Linseyracing.com of a picture of my RSR look 17" 2 piece wheels. I wanted his 8,9.5x17" for my RS project. I wasnt sure if I was going to do the wheels in black or polished(i think i drove mike crazy with all the changes). Anyway, we discused the possibility of doing the RSR look. With a little bit of research, he was able to recreate the look. Anyway, I couldnt wait to get home from work and see the email with the pic of the wheel. Mike says that it is going to be a new wheel option for the wheels he makes. BTW its going to go on viper green car.

PS
Thank You Uncle Zak for the 15x6 wheel that I am going to use as a spare. I owe you dinner bigtime...

Wow! That's an awesome finish for a Viper Green car.

Those came in fast, too.

Here's a link which saves you from having to do the intricate navigation to locate the wheels. (As a bonus, you get to see a picture of my car. )

Ed,
They do fit but i think that its very tight. Jack or Tyson, help me out with this one. I think that there is a 6" back spacing on the offset.

Jack,
Thanks! Im really happy with the way the picture looks. I cant wait to see them in person. Yes, that was a fast turnaround. Mike Linsey was easy to deal with. I hope that I have it ready for German auto fest. Only cause I want to drive it there.

Very nice Joseph.

In the picture, it looks like the rough anodizing stops somewhere and the outermost lip is polished. Is that accurate? And if so, where is the boundary?

Notice also...that unlike an original Fuchs...this rim has a small "lip" at the very outer-most edge. If ever a tire monkey uses a crow bar or lever to install a tire, only this very, very small protruding lip might be scratched...not the entire outer surface like a normal Fuchs wheel.

In this facet....it is an improvement and mimics many other wheel designs. Why the Fuchs and many other German wheel designs insist on using this delicate and gouge-prone design ( stock) is beyond me.

Thanks guys. I havent seen the wheel in person yet so i cant answer too many questions about it. The process was something new for Linsey but it looks like he got it correct. I will let you guys konw how it was done when I find out. I didnt really get a chance to go over it as I was working.

Thanks Chuck. Does that mean that I have a parking spot reserved next to your booth. Dont forget about my partner in crime, Tyson.

Harlequin,
I take it you have a viper green car?

JPnovak,
Thanks. I cant wait to put them on. Nice car by the way.

Thanks! Here is a pic on the car that they are going on. Ill post more finished pics later. Just got it painted and now im putting it back together. Notice the 4 bolt wheels in the fornt. I borrowed a 914 suspension so i would not ruin the new suspension while it was getting painted. New wheels should arrive by next week. Tires???
