Rick - so sorry to hear about your daughter. The pics are awful, glad to hear she got lucky. Looking forward to the drive, hopefully it'll take your mind off of things at least for a little bit. Planning on leaving here at 6:45 - 7:00, should put us at Mt. Sunapee at 9:00ish.

Hey, we got it together and took our spin form Mt. Sunapee up to Littleton and back down 5 thru VT. Damon, a local friend Gary and his wife Sue made it. They brought the sweet E-type, awesome car. DeanP and Melody, Jonathon (green), Brian and Melanie(blue coupe), Joe(silver long hood), Jim Garfield and Mason his son.(red coupe). I think a good time was had by all.
Oh yeah, we went to see Barry Bennet's car at Ed B's place. ![]() I hope somebody else took pics. I think we make this yearly thing. Thanks for coming up everybody!

Rick, thanks for organizing this little trip. Count me in if you want to do it again. For those that missed it, we took a nice little ramble/drive up through the NH Connecticut River valley, had a nice lunch and then came down the VT side. We ran at 35-95 mph and we all had a blast. Total trip length for me was 340 miles! Not bad for a little Sunday drive. It was great meeting all of you and I hope we can all get a few more trips in before we all have to put things away for the winter.

Rick-
We had a great time today, thanks to you for getting this together. We ended getting in at 5:20 with a total round trip total of somewhere close to 450 miles! Not bad at all! It was great seeing some faces I knew agan (Jim Garfield, Ed B) and meeting everyone else, Klaucke, Mason, Brian and his wife (great cross-country travel tales), Rick, Joe, Damon, Gary. Rick I don't remember your significant other's name or Gary's wifes name, but it was a pleasure meeting them as well. Gary's Jag was incredible! Here are some of my pics-

(Does anyone know why when I upload an image, it is displayed larger than the actual size?) They look like crap... Some of the P-cars Some other good stuff.

hey gang-
we had a great time meeting everyone; it was the perfect way to bring in the fall!! the only thing that beats a day behind the wheel of a porsche is driving with a whole gaggle of them.... i couldn't stop smiling the entire trip... and i was impressed that 1978 represented the most modern car on the road! thanks again rick and terri, for organizing this. can't wait for next time. brian and mer

I think we could pull this off twice a year at both ends of the summer. Gary had a great suggestion, that we do the Kank HWY and get over to the other side of the mountains. I heard he is supercharging that Jag, he may have to run up front.

Damn ! I'm sorry I missed what looks like a great time - and I wish my excuse was as good as Shaun 84's - although if we get the forecasted rain it may be almost as good (new roof).
Count me in next spring - rain or shine. John

Rick, thanks for organizing the run, we really enjoyed it. We just got back at 7 tonight. The drive was great, but meeting everyone, putting faces to names from the board, and seeing some familiar faces was almost more fun.
Mason and I camped at Hancock along the Kankamagus, got up early and drove the Kank to the Bartlett cutoff (a great driving road), through Crawford Notch, to Franconia Notch and breakfast at Polly's Pancake Parlor at Sugar Hill. We then drove to Bryar (I have a mental block about NHIS) and watched Damon (he's quick) and the boys thrash their cars at the DE, saw the only 917 replica in the country NOT owned by John Colasante run, and bumped in to Chris Bennet. All in all a great weekend.

Sorry I missed it.
I'm always swamped at work during holiday weekends. Looks like there are more and more Vermonters around at Pelican. Hopefully I'll meet up with some of you at some point!

Back in the shop, and catching up on the keyboard. Great meeting all of you, and even though we drove out of the blue sky, the people, cars and foliage were just awesome. Stopping in at Edgars to see the Bennet project reallly added to the connections we have made on this board. Monday and tuesday were great at NHIS, thats my knid of rambly! Instructed a "hotdog" on tuesday in a GT2, Chief instructor warned me, every other instructor has said they would not get back into the car with this guy! With a damp track, this guy was driving granny green in white run group, complaining that he had been passing every one in this group yesterday. Then in the rear view mirror, a well prepared 911 spun into the wall at the entrance to the main straight, I was able to get his attention even more!
the other highlight, Andy and laurie showed up at NHIS with a new addition to the race stable, 95 Ferarri 355 cup car. Left me the keys for tuesday. Wow what a sound, shifting up the straights, and a very different polar rotation in the turns, steering so light that you can drive this car with fingertip pressure. Different, but I am still a steadFAST 911 guy. thanks to Rick Rambly, we had a great Time, now looking for a new "spring" ascot.

Sorry for the delay. I've been playing phone tag with my friend. It does not look good for a run this fall up Equinox. Apparently Robb Report Magazine was doing a photo shoot with a Carrera GT, Ferrari Enzo, Lamborghini Murcielago and the new Ford GT40, and one of the drivers lost control of the GT40 and they are waiting for the dust to settle to see what kind of liability they will have to contend with. So, for the time being, there will be no car events on Equinox. I am still hopeful for this spring. I'll let everyone know if and when this is a go.
