If I was going to get orange, I'd get that same tangerine color car that just glows... picsx have been posted of it. It's sort of parked all by itself - I dislike orange and that car could change my mind...

I thought Grand Prix White was the German racing colour ? Did they change colours in the later years ? My GPW is from 85.

RoninLB's car is more handsome than it seems in the picture. Very dressy, and very casual at the same time. Bright and dark at the same time. Impossible for cops to see.

..............because it's brown.:D

Just kidding, it's a nice car - sat in a wide body turbo look of similar color at a vintage dealership, very nice.

Superman 03-08-2005 08:02 AM

I say this because his car and mine are nearly exactly the same color. It's nearly the last color I would have chosen, and now I'm a huge fan. It's a very "metallic" color, so it shows the curves of the car very well. Looks very very dark at night. In the daytime it sort of glimmers a bronze color. Hard to describe. Photos usually do not do it justice.

I'm sure the color grows on you quickly.

However the accompanying interior where it's the not a rich super dark brown, not a light tan interior which would take a little longer to get used to (for me). That middle of the road brown just does not screem sports car.

How about light yellow w/ a cork interior, original Fuchs and a light window tint. BTW Germany's official color is actually white. The silver came about because of some unpainted Mercedes F1 cars that had to get down to a weight limit in the 30s.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1110302535.jpg

Cool, I stand corrected, should of known better, the guy who told me "silver" also thinks "cookie cutters" and "phone dials" are the same thing.

timz - You really strapped that rear tire down hard! :D

Superman 03-08-2005 02:44 PM

Kach, I got lucky. I got the "Smoky Quartz Metallic" paint, and burgundy interior. Pretty sharp looking car for such an ugly guy, but I need all the help I can get.

MuffinMan 03-08-2005 05:15 PM

Here's a Continental Orange to throw in with the rest of the crazy 70's colors.

And that list doesn't even include the so-called factory custom colors like mine.
