Best Way to Re-Fill Injection Pump With Oil on 72T?

I had my pump off of the engine and rebuilt. I would assume it should be filled with oil before re-installed.

What's the best way to do this?

Thanks,
Ian

crank over the engine with the ignition disabled. just like you would to establish oil pressure on a fresh engine. when the gauge reads pressure for 30 seconds or so, you're done.

Ian,

If for some reason you can’t crank the engine as JW suggests, you can lay the pump on its side with the drain hose up and fill with fresh engine oil. Then position it in its normal operating attitude and drain out any excess.

Whatever, leave the assembly lube until close to running the engine.

Best,
Grady
