^ @myflat6

The roof....I have been playing around with different vinyl racing stripes - copying vintage racing liveries. Hotrods are much more fun for this reason - I will likely continue to tweak this car over the years.

My car probably weighs about the same as yours and only puts down 160 to the wheels and I feel like I'm moving when I'm on the loud pedal. I can't imagine how well your car moves with another 60 at the wheels.

Keeping the car narrow and with smaller displacement was the plan from the beginning of this build. I wanted to preserve much of the unique experiences these early cars provide to the driver. I chose to lighten the car meaningfully to maximize the power I thought I could achieve from 2.5 liters. The power to weight ratio is great and the horsepower, and particularly torque, is more than plenty for this street hotrod! I really enjoy driving this car

Here's my contribution. Had a '68 911L with a 3.0 back in the day that might be buried deep in this thread somewhere, but she's been long gone and this is my new pride and joy. It's been a long time coming and I'm extremely excited to be back in a slab sided SWB.

Built by EP9 Autosport in Quebec Canada and came to me by way of the Oilstainlab boys in Long Beach. It went through a full rotisserie resto/resto-mod prior to me purchasing the car, so I can't take credit for building the car. I've made a lot of changes to make it more "mine" along my 1+ year of ownership and have been enjoying every minute of it.

1967 912 Italian delivery car with a 2.3 (2.2S donor engine) with Wossner pistons 9:8:1 compression, DC40 cam, custom SSI with 997 turbo S muffler (she wails!), PMO 40 carbs paired to a 901 transmission. Such a fun car!

I've since made suspension, brake, and cosmetic mods along the way. SC brakes, control arms (up front), camber plates, adjustable spring plates (rear), adjustable ball joints, with KW Classic V3 dampers all around. I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of stuff in there too.

How she came to me vs. how she looks today. Replaced all the black (horn grills, turn signals) with chrome and took off the black plastidip from the fuchs' petals. Removed the full houndstooth interior and added new seats + replaced all side panels with black + 917 pedal, 917 shift knob, and 911R style steering wheel.

Sorry for the long description. Too lazy to start a thread, but wanted to share her with you all!

How she looked when I brought her home.

How she sits now.

Brian, this is a car I love .
Emile from EP9 asked me to install a set of used PMO 40 carbs, he purchased these on Pelican. He was told the were a fresh rebuild and ready to go . After lots of detailed re cleaning and adjustments , I set into the process of jetting the carbs . I believe we are very close to the optimal set up , a time crunch dictated the need to stop the jetting process. There is more in there !!!!
We also installed a 123 bluetooth distributor .
We were able to get plenty of HP out of this little engine , I think about 190 crank hp
What a fun car . Maybe one day we can try some softer torsion bars to match your KW k3 shocks . There is more in the comfort and handling department .

Nice Car!!!

Ian

Ian, thank you so much for the call and taking time to chat with me!

I'm definitely looking forward to linking up with you in person and seeing what we can do on this thing together!

It is a very fun little car indeed.

Most beautiful 912 Brian. I really like your tweaks, but I miss the side script. That's certainly a personal thing, but I think it fits on an early SWB.

Btw, show us the dang engine, yo!

Thanks Don! An engine picture woulda been nice, eh? Totally spaced on that haha.

Here we go! It's hard to tell, but I have a 911R style fiberglass fan shroud.

And a quick video @icarp sent me after he got done tuning the car. Thank you for sending this to me, Ian!

Emile! My bad. I knew it was Quebec but had a brain fart and put Toronto lol.

I'm enjoying the piss out of the car my friend. Hope to link up with you the next time you visit as well!

And one day, I hope to buy one of your 993 builds.

Hey Slow911,
Love that tire fitment, looks awesome. I have a 72 TE and am going for the same fitment.

Did you hAve to modify the flares / lips to make it work? Special wheel offsets? Any rubbing? Please dish the details. I have to have at least minimal clearance as here in northeast onion, sooner or later the random mega pothole is going to snare me and I don't want to redo body work.
TIA!
Bill

Well, since we’re showing off our narrow body hot rods, I’ll add mine here too. This is a 1973.5T, but has a 3.2 engine now. Wheels are powder coated satin black. See my signature line for full description. That’s Mt.St. Helens in the background.
