I had found the pictures here from 2001. It is about as confused as my car is body work wise. Tell me more about the front bumper. Looks like a chopped IROC.....but is it? I like the look.

This isnt going to help much, but I do remember the first car. It was on ebay maybe two years ago. It was an overall optimisitc ad with impressive power and impossible weight numbers. Neat car. IIRC, it was a SWB car originally.

Not to highjack this post, but I need to ask you about your WEVO SPS. Was it a true bolt one? Was the fitting of the aluminum race in the torsion bar hole easy? Did you need to shave alot of material?
j.p.

RE: The front bumper. It is a stock item from GT racing...that much I know

JP, my car was a mess from a bad experience with a tow truck operator earlier. So it was as Hayden said, "worse case scenario" of the sets they have sold. Fit and finish was exceptional. Just my bolts were all out of alignment from the under body being tweaked as it was drug over a curb.

Previous shop had actually elongated the holes on the spring plates to get them back on. We ended up cutting both sides completely out with a hole saw. The good thing is we were able to use the WEVO spring plate race as a jig to weld those attachment points back into the correct location. Needed to be done anyway. WEVO plates actually made it possible.

They were a direct bolt on for the side with the least damage. But you can see where we went from there.

Car eventually had a perfect c/b and a fairly good ride height with the (at the time unknown to me) damage. Both were difficult to ever believe we'd get acceptable again.

After the major repair and the new WEVO stuff car had an even better CB. Damaged it was with in 10/20 lbs front and back. With the repairs it ended up being just lbs. And much easier to do as well.

Do you think in a car with a virgin hole, the race fitment we be easy? I realize these holes will vary from either manufacturing tolerances or slight corrosion, but in reality all one has to do is remove high spots on the race or torsion hole, right? Once th O-ring is on, does the piece just slide in, or does it get tapped in (with hard plastic hammer)?

In a clean tub I bet they will either slide in or go in with a plastic mallet easy enough. Call Hayden. He is keeping track of every install and can give you the specifics of what he thinks will happen.

If you don't have yours yet I think the last install sheet was 8 or 9 pages. Way too detailed for me But then I had a bad car to start with so we kinda ditched the directions after figuring that out. Still the install was much easier than the fix. Coming from a car dummy trust me, that is saying a lot
