At least they're getting driven, rather than just sitting in the museum/garage getting rubbed with a diaper.... It sure does seem like the car's attracting people who get in over their heads though.

I think that would be just about everyone. Did you see the episode of Top Gear where their professional test driver spun the GT like 10 times in a row till he finally figured it out?

Sounds like CGT owners should only take them autocrossing where they can spin out without fear of hitting anything, ofcourse punting a cone in one of these would probably mean a $20,000 repair to the flux capacitor.

clearly a case of chickening out where the dukes of Hazzard wouldn't have... it's not like the CGT has less power than a friggin Dodge Charger now is it...

the lettering went off due to the high speeds , because of this , they cancelled the use of the CGT for the dukes of hazard remake, and went back to the Dodge... according to sources, another reason was that they needed a lot of General Lee's for all the crashes, and apart from the high cost, there was doubt as to wether or not enough CGT's were still available for all the stunts.

btw , Microsofts alternative to Photoshop
think i'll go back to Potoshop for future shopwork.
Acryllic just doesn't cut the mustard

Give the guy a fricking break....its hard to sip the Starbucks Latte, answer the cell phone, spray on your Hilfiger Cologne and grab third gear.

Porsche does screen them....Porsche makes sure the money is good before handing over the keys.

There was a story about this on another forum. Apparantly it was the mechanic taking it on a pre purchase test prior to the new owner picking it up. Anyone need a cheap mechanic???

It's all good -- now Parts Heaven will have a new ad.

And we can soon start thinking about adapting some of the ceraic parts onto our cars -- maybe the V-10 too.

does that V10 simply bolt on to a 924 transaxle ??
or would i need to fabricate some adapter piece and engine mounts?

it's both Porsche right, so compatibility should not be an issue??

If not the 924, will it fit in my 911 if I take out the back seat?

But seriously, have you guys seen what replacement parts go for? With typical German cunning, Porsche thinks that they will make several times more in replacement parts than they did in originally selling the cars. :-)

A car that spins off the road, usually in the hands of an inexperienced driver. Sounds like a Porsche to me.
