Rennstock event in Gainesville FL

Just wanted to drop in and let you guys know about the Rennstock event this year in Gainesville FL.

We rented the Gainesville Raceway's road track for Saturday (Dec. 17th) and will be having a Bar-BQ/Bonfire/Campout that night near by.
A bunch of us from over on Rennlist are putting it together and everyone is welcome to come if you are in the area. You can check it out on www.rennstock.com .

I signed up/payed tonight so I'm in. Looking forward to meeting some new folks and letting the Pcar stretch her legs. This will be the last event for me before the winter project-ITB EFI and suspension upgrade.

I can't wait to see everyone. This year its looking like the 911 group will be the majority.
Even if you are planning to just stop by, take a few min. to fill out the registration form. One of the sponsors is thinking of footing the bill for a BUNCH of pizzas on Saturday for lunch. It would be good to be able to give him a semi-accurate heads up on the "Rennstock Population" this year.

Rennbay,

What time to the activities start on Saturday? Just trying to figure if it is best to come down Friday and be ready for an early start. Also, when does the event close down on Sunday? Again trying to figure out if I need to stay an extra night.

Hey guys,

Things are going to get underway early on Saturday. They want us to start running at 9am so we need some time for tech inspection and drivers meeting before that. I will probably be there helping setup around 7-ish on Saturday.

Sundays events will be a "cool down" day. Just hanging around, having a group (drive) lunch at Hooters, and just doing a little bench racing. Stay a late as you want on Sunday or leave when you have to.

If you regester you should get all this in an email in a few days.

Looking at last years photo's on the web site there were sure a lot of 944/951's there, or at least that is all they took pics of hahah.

Yep, that was last year. One 993 came out with everyone else was sporting the 944 models.
This year, according to the RSVP and track regestration form, its going to be the 911 guys 6 to 1. We even have a slant nose out of Orlando driving the track.
Right now I am up in G-ville checking out the track. Andrew and I took a few "test" laps with the cam rolling. Matt should be able to post them to rennstock.com some time early next week.

Yep, This year it is going to be Porsche only. Next year though, if there is enough interest, who knows...
