I Got My 911 !
After lusting after Porsches my entire life I bought a 914 two years ago.... what was going to be a longterm fix-it up turned into an obsessive restoration. It was done, and like a crackhead I couldn't stop thinking about my next Porsche.

The deal with my wife was when I turned fifty I get my 911.
She must of grown tired of me marking the calendar & couldn't take two more years of me showing her every great car I saw on Pelican. Black & White photo's by accident but very cool I think. So.......

An add for this car was posted on the bulletin board at Chris's German in Bellvue WA. I liked what I saw...
1985 local car with 73,000 Miles. I had met & talked with the great independent shops in the area John Walker , Chris & his guys, Monte at Redmond European, & I really zeroed in on a Carrera. CHris's German did a PPI that I was very comfortable with & I was off & running.

So after a little lost sleep over meeting a lifetime goal, (it's just not very often that this happens,) it took a little adjustment period.
I 've put 1000 miles on her the first two weeks & can actually shift very smooth now. We drove to Eastern WA over the weekend ( these pictures taken over the Columbia river ) & had a blast. Just a thrill to drive!!!

I'm not partial to white cars but I'll make an exception in this case. Awesome car and not too bad of a photography job to boot!

Nice, including the 914. That color shot w/ "Stonehenge" in the background is very nice.

Greenie2 - First big props on TWO very nice cars. I LOVE that 914. looks absolutely great, how abot a few more detailed pix? Selling it?
Your Carrera, especially in the 3/4 front shot looks really nice. I waited until I turned 50 to get mine (and I shouldn't have) and both my kids graduated from college. I made it almost as far as you did - I had a 944 I bought at 47, also overspent on restoring it. Nice car but not like my 911. My '76 was brand new when I graduated from college and is the car I would have bought new then if I'd had the BILLIONS of dollars it seems like at the time!! Again, big congratulations.

Beautiful car and last last pic is simply outstanding. If it were my car the photo would be enlarged to poster size and framed on my wall... Great Job!
