mettallic grating squeek in 88 Carrerra Cab
I have a persistent metallic and very irritating squeek coming from somewhere in or near the right side door of my 88 Carrerra cab. This is most clearly heard when travelling on bumby roads etc - but it is there virtrually all of the time when the car is moving.
I have tried to pin point it - but without success. I have sprayed the door perimeter with silicone - but this doesn't help. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Since you hear it all the time the car is moving. Can you get a buddy to keep the door open while the car is in motion. This might tell you if its the door or somewhere else. Just a suggestion.

Look under the car for broken or cracked rear sway bar mounts. Very common on these cars.

Sounds like the symptons I had on my '87 cab when the sway bar mount broke.
