Speedo cable tranny end???
Ok, I give up. I've searched high and low here, and on my back underneath the car, and for the life of me I can't figure out where the speedo cable connects to the transmission. I've got the new cable on my workbench, so I know what I'm looking for, but I just can't find it!!
Can anyone post the "for dummies" version of how to find it? Thanks! Chris

It will attach to the nose cone just forward of the tranny mount. you should see two things going into the front of the tranny. One is the shift select shaft and the other should be the speedo cable.

I've just changed mine, it's slightly over to the passenger side hidden inside a rubber boot. Push back the rubber boot, mine disintigrated, to expose the nut.
I asume you are using the string/cord method to replace it. The route of the cable is thro the lower part of the tunnel so if you do a straight pull from front of tunnel (by pedals) push down on the cable to encourage it to stay low in the tunnel and you will get past the handbrake crap easily.
