My car has the standard washer system plus the headlamp washer system. Hoses and lines are all messed up. Is there a diagram somewhere that shows the many hoses, T's, Y's, vents, etc. so that I can put it all back together correctly?
I think I have all the parts. It was all working well before we hit that deer on our way home from Beartooth Pass and needed some quick repairs. - Thanks |

The 78-83 PET has a very good diagram and lists the parts and layout for the headlight washing system. Check Illustration: 904-10.

Your welcome.
The Porsche Club of Great Britain has a good list of Porsche Acronyms that might of assistance. PET - Porsche Electronic Technologies (The Porsche Parts Program) Don't feel bad, I didn't know that PET really meant Parts Kataloge when I bought my first Porsche. |

Not sure if yours is the same as my 83 but I just had to work on mine. On the 83 the headlight washer is the simplest. Big pump on the reservoir in the LH front fender that sends fluid across the front of the car via 3/8 nylon hose to a T in the center of the bumper. From the T to the headlight nozzles via the same diam hose. The pump is activated by the dash switch to a relay on the nose of the car near the battery. The relay will only activate if the headlights are on. Heavy gauge (10) wire from the relay to the pump with a connection in between. My relay was fried as was the connection outside the inner fender. The windshield washers seems to use the most amount of tubing possible. The pump is near the headlight washer relay, down low on the left side of the frunk by the battery. The lines head back via the wire harness toward the windscreen. Ive not chased them any further. Hope that helps.
