my engine mounts are shot in my 91 C2. anyone have any suggestions as to what's the best bang for the buck? do solid mounts increase noise in the cabin?

Yes, somewhat. Also vibration. If it's a street car, I'd suggest the stock ones. A C2 shifts well enough that you don't need to be swayed by the opinions of the stiffer/racier-is-always-better crowd.
Happy motoring, JR
