...yea, lowering does nothing for handling, and that's why all professional 911 race teams run stock US ride height for best handling, and well-known tuners such as Ruf never lower ride height...a lower center of gravity is another of those urban legends...

Thought about something like that for the front wheels. I still think some of the stuff people put on the rear lid is plain ugly and just for show. ![]() ![]()

Here is a side shot of my car. Lowering the front just a smidge would look a little better. You can't see the mudflaps very well in that pic so I'll get a close up this evening.

Cheap, functional, invisible. What more could you ask for?

I like it and may copy.
Brian, that's a good looking rocket. I guess washing the rear wing takes some time? Let us know how you end up with the indexing. Did you find the anti-bump-steer-spacers under the rack?

Coming a little late to this party but each full turn of the adjustment screw (both sides) to raise the vehicle will result in allignment being off 1/10 of a degree, you will need a Front end alignment when done.

![]() Previous owner lowered the car and installed wider tires without installing the anti-bump steer and anti-rubbing hardware. I'm adding all that. Car remains low and handles as if on rails, at the expense of ride quality....so what's the problem? ![]() I believe JBO was responding to Gunter's quote, not mine: Of course, with all this lowering for more bling, there is no zing in the performance. Even with the bump-steer spacers, the handling is *****ty, the tires wear on the inside edge, you'll need another alignment and corner balance, and most likely, you'll bottom out the front struts during hard cornering. So much for bling. Why do it? Might want to read the posts before jumping in... Last edited by Danny_Ocean; 01-03-2007 at 03:04 PM.. |
