A few more clues would be helpful, as there are 'overlaps' or repeats of some codes from different decades ...

It 'sounds' like a 'regular' 1974 911 engine with CIS, a 2.7 with early-style heat exchangers (header-style equal length) ... does that sound even a little close to what you have?

There is another # stamped on the engine on the horizontal fin behind the oil sender unit. It will give you more detail if you want. It will say 911/10 or 930/06 or some such....when you find it, post it or email me and I will look it up.

Well, if it jives with the serial number ... it should be 911/41, or 911/46, as those were the type numbers for the 'normal' '74 911 engine with 150 DIN hp @ 5700 rpm, 915-equipped and sportomatic-equipped, respectively!
