2 = 1972 5 = TV (E) don't know what TV stands for - sorry 0 = coupe 1663 = sequential serial number should be a 2.4litre 130 hp

In 1972 and 1973, Porsche made two different "T" models, one with MFI (to meet US emission standards), and the other with Weber carburetors (for the ROW 911). If I recall correctly, the "TV" model (indicated by the number 5) is the ROW one with carbs.
In any case, it is definitely not an "E" model, which would have a number 2 in this position. This would be a VIN for a proper English market "T" model (where the original poster is from). Last edited by jkarolyi; 03-14-2007 at 02:53 PM.. |

The vergasers were Zenith 40 TIN, not Weber.
