Arizona Pelicans... The End
Arizona Pelicans (and anybody else in driving distance),
The End is near. The last track day of the season with the PCA is upon us. It will be held at Firebird's East track on Saturday April 14th. The east track is a fun track and a great place to get your feet wet if you haven't done a track day yet. It only costs $120 for what might be the funnest day of your life. Everybody's doing it. You know you want to. Here is the track... Here is the link to the sign-up sheet... http://az.pca.org/events/de.htm All you need is a helmet (MA2000 or better... Next year they will require all helmets to be SA). Targas and Coupes don't need roll bars but Cabs do. Sunblock, Chair and Water. But wait there's more... As usual, I will be cooking Brats and Kraut at the track. So stop by, say hi and have some food. Here is a picture of my car... But wait, there's even more... Since it is the last track day of the season, we will be heading back to my house after the event for some beverages and some food and some socializing. Bring your significant other and your kids if you want (or don't ), mine will be there. I will give directions at the track or you can PM me. Even if you don't go to the track, stop by the house and meet some Pelicans.

i drink beer heavily every month looking at my visa bill.............therefore I AM! LOL!
gonna make a change today on gearbox oil. going from mobil 1 to swepco. reason a couple of shift grinds trying to slow my sled down in the heat of battle! a critical ........I MEAN CRITICAL downshift from 5th to second that didnt go the first time, and made me brake heavy, precipitates this change. plus i want to see any metal chunks. i really dont think there are any, but rather be safe than sorry. patrick changing out sensors on flywheel and new CHT. sensor wires 20 yrs old and cooked from heat. |

Chuck, A great Philosopher (sp?) once said "It's only a Bill if you Pay it."
Why are you changing to Swepco? I thought Mobil 1 or Redline were the way to go for the G50.

patrick swears by swepco? what do i know? whatever crap was in it when i bought it, was dirty. so i went w/mobil 1. worked well actually better. so we had a talk and he swears by swepco due to moly diglycirides or some wazoo lubristic crap. worth doing since we hammered the hell outta g-50. god i hope there are no chunks. if there are chunks...........i'll just HAVE to make it a 6-speed! LOL!
go california speedway.com and look at 2.8 mile track. anyone who isnt intimitated by it is a FOOL! about the only place thats safe is the straight away and even thats sometimes questionable when you have 3-4 abreast! lots of 2-3 wide track funneling down real fast to single lane lines. |

mmm, track....day...mmmmm!
Oh yeah. Count me in. Chuck, I heard the same as Jeff on the G-fitty. But if that 's what J Patrick uses I suppose it can't be too bad. BTW, I also have the SWEPCO 203 in mine. Ater this next track day, I plan on changing it out. Probably go back with 203 or 201.

I have Swepco in my G50 and it is working great today when it's hotter than ***** but that stuff is like molasses on a cold winter morning. I run Redline with friction modifier in the 901.
