Not for C.Kev.

Hot? Not. Impacted? Probably.

Because I like this shot so well and can’t post it enough. I feel so cheap and trashy, but that’s me.

Mine looks almost identical to that color. I love the color but I need to paint my valence. I was told its seal grey, but it has also been repainted so I'm not totally sure.

Certainly in silver this still looks balanced.

It's nice to see a '74 looking car that hasn't been altered. Got the cookie cutters and the chrome trip + mirrors.

I tried to buy one that looks just like this but it was part of a divorce settlement and the guy was impossible to deal with.

Sexy!

I'm noticing a couple of things about the cars that excite me:

1. The ride height is super important. Lowered but not slammed. There shouldn't be a lot of open space between the tire and the fender
2. There should be a very slight rake from back to front with the back being slightly higher (exactly as shown above)
3. The proportions of old and new parts don't always work; there's a certain 'tone' or 'feel' that I think the designers were going for and I think that this the main reason why the Magnus cars look good: they feel balanced overall
4. Mirrors are important and are difficult to get right. It's a real pity that the bases of mirrors didn't keep the same hole pattern from model to model because changing mirrors becomes very expensive. I personally like the black '74 mirror but impossible to find
5. Nothing larger than 17" wheels looks good on these cars
6. Bumper pad delete but keeping stock bumpers doesn't look too bad and is growing on me
7. Some colors look better than others. I find that Guards Red looks great on these cars as well as silver. Mine is white.
8. Still debating whether polished petals on the Fuchs are ok on SCs and Carreras.
9. Ducktails can go either way. Whale tails just don't do it for me
10. I am starting to like the black ring around the headlight if the rest of the car has anodized black trim
11. I also like the black magnetic stone guards that I have on my car. I think they set the contrast very well

What else?

Here's my recent addition. '79 glass-out re-paint. 3.2 Short-stroke. Still trying to decide what I want to do to it.

I have some 930 RSR style 16" Fuchs that will go on as soon as spring arrives. Playing with mirror options and will likely go with black headlight rims for now.
