I've never owned the Early S, but Warren’s post’s over the years made me wish I did, and if by chance I was ever that fortunate, the knowledge that the "S man" would be here was always reassuring.
an old Gaelic Blessing: May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, May the rain fall softly upon your fields, And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

I'm really sad that Warren is gone - many years ago, when Pelican had just started, he was one of the reasons I visited this forum often - his knowledge of early 911s was extraordinary.
I had no idea he was ill - he never mentioned it, at least back then. My sympathies go to his friends and relatives - I wish so much I'd met him - as it was through his many posts here I feel I did know him, if only a little (sadly too little). |

Was looking at a thread that was resurrected after a year or so, and one of the older posters made a statement that I wanted to get clarification on.
Started to type out the question before I realized I'd never get an answer from him... It was a post from Warren. Very, very, very sad... |

I have not used the forums too much but everyone who answered me was taking their time to help a stranger. I can see that we regret not giving our thanks until too late.
I do not want to forget to thank every one of you who helped me or read one of my posts and prayed that I stayed sane, God bless you! And, God bless Warren!! Thank You all Al

I too have Cystic Fibrosis, but was totally unaware Early S Man had it too. Its a prick of a disease. He did very well to live to 57.
Its a life long battle, just trying to keep as healthy as the year before. If you can manage to do that you have won the battle for that year. I worked for CF Victoria in australia for 9 years and the money does help alot. CF sure doesn't gain the same sort of funding as many other diseases so each bit helps. I know just in my 34 years treatments and outcomes have improved alot, but sadly there is no cure. RIP early S Man

Another way of promoting the decal sales it to start a thread of photos of cars with the decals on them. "Where'd you put your decal?"

I wonder if Warren would mind if I put a sticker it on my current water-cooled front engine abomination.

I haven't been online much lately... or here for a really long time. I'm so sad to read about Early S Man on the ES Reg and here.
Thank you Wayne for your time and space. Thank you Mark Wilson and Kurt V for your efforts to help a friend to all. We were lucky that someone like Early S Man had a passion for Porsches... he was fortunate to have a friend who was not only able to spend time to visit him in the hospital, but provide the wireless laptop to follow the efforts and concern of his extended family. Mark W., you also have a kind heart (of gold). Rest in Peace, Warren. I'm sorry that your life was not an easier one but I'm glad that you're no longer in pain. Thanks for sharing your time with us. Take care. |

I wish I had met him ( he could have fettled my SC with ease ). He helped so many with 911 issues but we could not help him with Human body issues......I feel useless. What a loss to us all, I hope he is having fun in the 911 afterlife...........

Thanks you!!! I would give up all thing P cars for life if Warren could be back here with us but it just does not work that way. It just makes you put things in perspective I guess.. .. . It is so very frustrating... . I can take my car apart blindfolded but I could not help Warren. I think that my sadness is slowly turning into frustration that I think I will be channeling into something positive and P Car related. I just don't know what that will be. |

I didn't know Warren but after reading this tribute some thoughts come to mind.
In life, few open their hearts to all. In death, those who moved us are missed. In memory, those who gave so much will soar. Warren remembered, now flies on angels wings.
