Porsche Crest 1970 IROC project Thank You

I have a no-buget IROC rebuild I am doing now. No-budget to me means I have no money, and I am doing everything myself.
I have done a few cars in the past, the last one was a 1975 914, 2.0. This is my first 911.

I am not much of a poster, but I am an avid reader, the forum has been the only thing which helped me move my 911 project along. Just about everything I have done has been documented already, and I want to say, documented very well. I did inner rockers, repaired the unibody under the tortion tube, did some pan work, minor other rust repair etc...
Thankx to all the posts out there which document all the hard work done by you all.

When the time comes, I will be in need of some ideas on engine, (I have the orig. 2.2) and wheels to fit under the wide flares. I will have to settle on a sheep in wolf's clothing as again, the pocket book is very light.

I hope these pics give some idea on the project.

Again, thankx to everyone who is an avid poster.

I would like to start in with a couple simple questions, I am sure as time moves on I will have a bunch more and probably they will get harder...
I am planning on white as a final color, but want to dress it up a bit with some stripes/graphics. Nothing too over the top as it will be a sheep in wolf's clothing already, and I will have to do the work myself.
Could you post a few possible suggestions with pictures? Also what is the best method of stripe application, paint or vinyl?

all the graphics are vinyl with self adhesive backing. Just so much easier to get done and apply compared to painting.

The mean and clean look is great with GP weiss, but I may be biased

Gorgeous car! I take it it's not a daily driver...I've never seen it out here.

That place was the best! Hopefully the new one in Merced will be just as nice.

Thanks! I am glad you like the car. It is still a work in progress. I am going to go through and rebuild the calipers and get some polybroze bushings soon.

I drive it every weekend, ususally on Saturday afternoon. I go down Kanan and up Potrero from PCH, usually. Mulholland Highway is another favorite route, especially the twisty part that connects to Kanan. Sometimes I do Encinal or Malibu Canyon.

Maybe we could meet some time? email me at maxsluiter@earthlink.net or PM Flieger.

Let's see a picture of your machine. Carrera 3.2s are great cars; well built.

very sweet ride!
I like to clean look too, but with the widebody flares on mine, I was thinking it would be too much white.
Any pics available with some simple stripes over the hood/roof/deck? I really want to keep a simple clean look, but just break it up a bit.

Nice job on the RS Don.
Almost as nice as your white with blue C4 you did.
You don't know it yet, but I will be by to see you in spring to talk options for the powerplant rebuild. I live around the corner.

P.S. Hi Max.
Thanks for all the work you did on the car. It looks really great- better than a "track" car should be

By the way, we just got a sport steering wheel for my BMW. How much work would it be to have you put it on- we do not have the tools.

Thanks Again!

Anybody know the name of the color blue, or color code on the IROC picture in the above thread? That color looks killer on that body style. I think I am changing my mind on the color...

Looks like I might be taking a trip to Mexico...
The color highlights the car's curves great.
