Question on value on 285x40 15s
i have a used set of P7s measuring 285x40 for a 15 inch rim
they have about half the tread left just wondering if they are worth as it is darn hard to find a wide tire for a 15 inch rim thanks guys |

Check the date on the side wall. If they are more than 4-5 yrs old I wouldn't use them on the street. I had a pair of new/old Yokohama 285/40/15's. The tires looked new with full tread, but were 6 yrs. old. I sold them on ebay as rollers for $150.

That's a damn shame. I had a set of brand new 345/35-15 that I had to let go because they were getting old and someone needed to use them before they died. Those tires get hard as a rock and slippery as snot after 5 years even if stored properly.
