Third (High Mount) Brake Light In-op

On a whim I pulled the cover off my High Mount brake light as I have yet to test it and found that it certainly does not work. A test light and then a Multimeter confirmed the issue. The zipper on my headliner is scarey and I'd rather leave it be considering I doubt I'd learn much anyway. Does anyone happen to recall the next place the High Mount wires can be spotted? Do they end up in the Engine compartment or going up towards the front of the car?

I glanced at the bently wiring diagram and it appears to indicate it goes to the connector at the left tail-light assembly but I'm not sure how far the diagram cane be trusted. Thought I'd ask if anyone has spotted it.

I did a thorough search but the top has not been covered.

The wires should go into the engine compartment at the base of the rear window (drivers side). If you open the engine lid, you should see them coming down on the left side.

Silly question, but have you checked the fuse? Just a thought?

These might help:
