Door threads
I have decided to tear into my doors soon. Pull out the 'guts' and refurbish everything. It is a 1970 911 T.
Are there any threads anyone remembers about doing this? What to pull out first etc. and more importantly, how to get it back together so the window actually aligns and works again ;-). Thankx for the help.

Do a search, but also there's a chapter in Wayne's 101 Projects book that helped me a lot on my 72T. I will look for my earlier post and get back to you.

Thankx. This will help a lot.
I always get squemish going into things like that. I do not hesitate in replacing an inner rocker, but the window mechanism...

Luckily for me, my only encounter with the window was having to reposition it while the track was out. I will say the the lift mechanism does look robust. Is it causing you problems?
As for the threads, I think one of them is where I learned how to partially lower the hinged pocket, reach inside and remove the 10mm nut holding the fixed pocket on. This is the holy grail of starting points, and one I would have never known without help.

No issues, just attempting to be complete in the restoration. I want to freshen everything up.
