Wow talk about evolution, almost no change from the 997. I like the flares, i am sure they wont make it to production.
Any news on power plants? Are they going V8 or??

I like the rear overhang - looks like less than the 997. Not sure why they need all that nose up front though.
Flares look like a nissan. Does it really cost that much more to press a decent looking fender with some shape?

Relax guys, it's a test mule. I suspect the flares are tacked on to hide the real fender profile or they are there to allow them to test alternate wheel/tire setups and still meet any applicable road laws. Same with the gurney flap which may be there to control cooling more than aerodynamics.

Not sure the flares are test only - they went to the trouble of creating a front bumper, as well as signal lights to fit the curvature.
This is the car it reminds me of. Mo' classy.

Thats actually just the reworked 09+ 997. This model will probably be around for a while actually. From what I understand from dealership people the 998(probably not called that) will be sent out no earlier than 2012 but possibly later than that. There are many things that are actually in camouflage on that body. For example the 993/996 center reflector strip between the taillights will be back (I think the 993 had it and I know the 996 C4S had it).

No point in upgrading the number and not the car, when you are running out of numbers!

Did anyone notice the wheels? Triple black with black wheels. I'm in love.

I don't like it, the front is to long the stop lights are uglier than the 997 and 996 an those flares looks like a cheap solution for a wide tires in any car.

Again....that is the 997. Its just the reworked model. That chassis is no different than the current 997 save for a bunch of replaceable parts. Take a look at pictures of the 2009 997 and you will the similarities except for the flares. Who knows why there are flares though.
