electrical problem

I have a 1980 911 sc with a small electrical problem I am trying to correct. I had a hot wire in the interior light short out and rather than blow the fuse, it burned up all the wires associated with that circuit. I have run some of them down but am having trouble with the interior wires that disappear into the roof. Where do they appear in the instrument panel? I have popped all the dash instruments out and can not find the. They are the wires that go from fuse 18 to the clock the glove comp light to the interior lights. I can not seem to figure out how to run new wires up to the door interior lights. Thanks

Maybe you can wiggle the wires up @ the light to see if you detect any movement lower. The 2 wires that go there are black and brown. Then connect new ones to the existing and pull them through.
