Here's Total Commander http://www.ghisler.com/smartphone.htm

Download that and install on the phone. Once installed open up and keep hitting left arrow till you see \\Plugins at the top of the list. Go into Plugins, then registry\HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\ and delete the FileSizeLimit file or adjust it to a larger size. The address bar in Total Commander will show \\\registry\HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\ when your in the right spot.

Thanks a lot for the offer. I figured it out this morning after some googling - actually was really easy - just converted the mp3 to AAC in iTunes and then changed the extension to .m4r and it worked. Thanks again for the offer.
