Your favorite color on a Porsche?

To paraphrase Governor Terminater's famous remark, (spoken with thick, guttural Austrian accent) "Pretty paint is for girly men".

Don't know, but color always mattered more to me than perfection, unfortunately we can no longer go order up an air-cooled 911 in the exact color we want, and repainting a different color screws up the collectible value, so best to stick with what we have. But if you had your 'druthers, what color would you want? Pics if 'ya got 'em,

This is my favorite 911 color, but don't know what it's called;

Gun Metal Grey?

I am biased to my baby's Marble Grey. Looks White on Sunny days and Grey when Cloudy

The color of the car in your pic might be.......

Meteor Grey Metallic which is what my car below is and this color, along with silver is my favorite. Although I must admit, Slate Grey, Leaf Green and Conda Green have all captured my attention for the earlier long hoods.

And that would be Minerva on the right, correct?

Seriously, the blue is awe inspiring.

I like bright colors. All the good pictures are on the other computer, but Tangerine, Viper Green, Minerva Blue, Guards Red, Cobalt Blue, yada yada are all winners. Bring back the jelly bean colors!

I'm all Silvered out, and I hope the new fad of Matte colors ends soon.

That being said, when I step into my garage and see the silver long hood, I smile.

Also a fan of the bright period colors: Mexico Blue & Signal Orange are probably my faves.

Silver on a black interior. It's the official racing color of Germany right?

White on black is a close second.

Basic, elemental, like a beautiful woman with no makeup to cover up and obscure her perfect shape.

Satin black looks pretty wicked on a seriously evil race car too................

Depends on the Porsche... a longhood 911 would be Tangerine Orange, an 80's Carrera or Turbo would be Silver, 964s look best in black as it hides the ugly rubber seals on the rockers and the late model watercooled 911s look best (to me) in silver or red. A 924 or 944 has to be Guards Red and 928s look properly classy in silver or black whereas a 914 has to be coloured like a jelly bean, Signal Orange or Olympic Blue gets the nod for those cars.

The Cayenne should be clear so I don't have to look at it.
