Adjusting Fenders
After a long winter of hand sanding my car down to bare metal it is finally starting to go back together. Tomorrow I am hoping to mount my new front fiberglass fenders. I used a rubberized undercoat on the inside wheelwell and painted it to match the eventual color of the cars exterior. In mounting if I need to move the fender to help keep the gap between hood and fender equal do I just use washers or is their a proper spacer sold for this. Worst case scenario what if I need to bring the fender in, how is that accomplished?
Thanks

Quote: "new front fiberglass fenders."
___________________ I have helped install fiberglass fenders on other cars, not Porsche. It ALWAYS comes down to how GOOD a reproduction is the 'copy' fender. My experience is ...not very! You may have to 'slot/oval' the mounting holes to get close. Too large a gap with steel, you just weld on, hammer and grind to fit. With fiberglass, one has to build up the area with fiberglass and shape. Prepare to learn NEW curse words.
