Engine drop---
Hi everyone,
Just getting ready for my first engine drop. Was wondering if you guys pull the tranny and motor as one unit and then seperate on the floor. Someone told me that this faster and easier this way. Just wondering the general consensus on this. Thanks

Significantly faster and easier (and probably safer). One person (in reasonable health) can then split the engine and tranny.

Thanks for the quick responses. I'll have to make a clean sweep of the garage and maybe start this weekend. Thanks again

Have a search on the site Mark, there are some good tips on the correct balance point to place the jack when you lower, and how to make up an engine 'dolly' so that you can wheel the engine and transaxle about.
I can remove the engine and gearbox from my old car (less peripherals) single handed in around 25 minutes. Putting it back in takes longer
