Rough idle diagnosed as intake leak on #2

Before replacing the gaskets on 1, 2 & 3 as recommended by the tech, does it make any sense to loosen the barrel nuts on #2 and try re-torquing them first to see if it fixes the leak?

the gasket below the plastic spacer usually gets sucked in, so tightening doesn't help.
