+1 for the Vitaloni Californians
Light (335g each) and cheap (£60 a pair in the UK)Flag mirror hole filling and paintwork was a total PITA, but I had corrosion under one of the old mirror mounts to sort and a dent where some scrote had kicked off the mirror so was worth it in my case. Went from this: ![]() to this (ghetto, rattle-can paint job all my own work - lol, lacquer still needs cutting back once it's fully hardened)

Period correct is the best way to go. I do not like aero mirrors of any kind on a longhood.

The universally admired Magnus Walker has aero mirrors on his 71 track car - so they cannot be all bad.
![]() I have been using them for years. I have thought of replacing with something else but they look ok and its nice to have mirrors that work and let you see something useful.

I have Aeros on my 930 Turbo, removed all the electric scam, pretty light now:

The original post of this thread is three years old, however, I will chime in that I think the 993 mirrors really look out of place on most (all?) of the cars pictured - they certainly look goofy on Magnus's '71 above!

935 mirrors
I really like the aero mirrors and would go with them, if I were you.
I have 935 mirrors. I originally thought that these would be useless, but they actually work well and look great on my de-mirrored/de-badged 73 hooligan car. That's just my opinion..I could be wrong. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I think they look out of place on a longhood, but it's your car so do whatever makes you happy

Vitaloni Sebring on the stock flag mount...requires some minor fabrication but no bodywork to fill the holes is needed.
I like the aeros but they look just a bit too large on a pre-964 IMO. ![]()
