Jim, Why different wheels on front and rear?

1973.5 911T with RoW 1980 SC CIS stroked to 3.2, 10:1 Mahle Sport p/c's, TBC exhaust ports, M1 cams, SSI's. RSR bushings & adj spring plates, Koni Sports, 21/26mm T-bars, stock swaybars, 16x7 Fuchs w Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+, 205/55-16 at all 4 corners. Cars are for driving. If you want art, get something you can hang on the wall! |

Back in the day, the race cars that wanted run wider wheels in the back found it easier/cheaper to find/use "8 spokes" (panasports/minilites etc) than Fuchs. So many period cars have the mismatch. I think it looks cool.

Fuchs didn’t come wider than 7” or 8”, can’t recall which, at the time of the first STs so Minilites were used

earliest RPO option 8x15 was for the '74 MY Carrera 2.7RS I suppose that some of the Minilight cars might have had 8s in back but the rules for the STs allowed +2 wheels which is 8 & 9 here's the earliest ST that I've seen w/ possibly 8 & 9 Fuchs, this is a factory pic of a '72ST
