cocomats

Anyone have front cocomats in their mid eighties 911? Any issues with fitment or thickness? Rubber backing or not? Good mats for 911 or not? Anybody post a picture of drivers side mat. Looking for blue with white dots Thanks

They will send you samples! Just let them know what you'd like to see and put them in the car to see what you like best.

They are very nice mats, I've got them in my car.

I've seen 'em in an 914. They're really nice. I'll be ordering some for my '71 T shortly. As previously mentioned, they'll send you some free samples. Give 'em a call. The ones they sent me were pretty large - 3" X 3".

I have them in my '74 and I like them far better than any carpet sets I've used over the past 30+ years.

+1! I ordered a set for each 911 plus our 'Vette. they are holding up great (unlike the cheap-o stuff you see hawked by many other outlets).

are they improved any from the '70s? i remember that the edges rolled up and they were really good at sifting dirt through them onto the carpets below. they looked great when new.

I've had them, not my favorite.

Your carpets underneath get pretty dirty, everything falls through.

I've had Cocomats on my '74 for a few years and they are great! I replaced the Lloyd's mats that I had because they kept sliding around, the Cocomats stay and never move at all! Very easy to shake out and clean.

I've never owned a set, but the samples that were sent to me had a solid rubber backing. I don't see how anything could fall through. Maybe tcar's were of an older design?

In my opinion the mats from the link in the 3rd post (cocomats.com) are the only ones to buy. They are rubber backed and dirt does not fall thru. Somewhat expensive and heavy they wear like iron. I've had mine for 50K miles and they look like new.
I like them.

Thanks Blew911 for the photo, they look great. The interior of your car looks great also. I am sold on these! Thanks

Yep, mine are solid-backed and nothing can get through the mats. All I do is take them out, shake them and they are clean and look great in the car. Nothing on the carpet and they don't move one bit.

I have the same ones as Blew911. They came with my car and I love them. The carpets under the mats are perfect. I'd buy a set for my next car.

I just received a set for my 78 911 and they are beautiful. I got the black with red dots and they look great. Superb quality and you do get what you pay for. I bought them from autoanything.com and they run specials all the time.

Don't buy the imitations. The above posted site is the right vendor. The mats are very high quality. I get compliments and questions from almost everyone that sees them. They are heavy but they don't move around, they stay put. I have the black with white dots in a white SC. The look is outstanding!!! I will post pics later

+1.
I have the #51 black with the red dots in my guards red SC. They came with the car but I like the durability and the way the grippers keep them in place on the factory carpet.

I find this hard to be an issue, at the point this happens you have brought the dirt into the car already??? So is direcr deposit onto the carpet better??

I have a set from cocomats.com great stuff and rubber backed, the 71 has a nice set of carpeted floor mats about like new so will spend my $$ on other stuff for now.

Regards

Of course not. I got solid carpet mats that I can shake out and clean.

My mats, 15 years ago, did not have a rubber back. Just learned something.

My driver's side carpet is just about shot. I was thinking of cocomats instead of carpet. Is there any reason to have carpet under the cocomat?
