"He then came up to my window and shouted as if he was mad, "Are you RGruppe?" I responded with "I am with Early S". He then sternly responded with, "It is a yes or no question." I thought who is this jerk and why is he pissed off? He then slammed his fist onto the top of door sill and stated loudly, "I asked you a question!".

I am a gentle man. In fact I tend to let those compelled to assert non existent authority go right ahead. However.....anyone slams his fist on the top of my 911 and he just earned a punch in the nose. No questions asked.

+1 Magnus is a good guy. That surfer haircut just lets him go under-cover. You would never suspect he drives such cool Porsches. He is very kind and complimentary whenever I see him.

Yes, Magnus is indeed a class act. And he has impeccable taste in early Porsches. Every time we finish one up, I think to myself how much I would love to own this car, and then a better one comes along.

I was hoping I wouldn't upset anyone by making that video. I don't have a lot of technical expertise to offer up on this forum so I offer what I can. The R Gruppe sounds like a lot of fun. It's too bad I live all the way over in Illinois. I might have to make it a point to get out to one of their events sometime. Anyone who shares what it is to drive a 911 is a friend of mine. The way I see it. We are all family. Dysfunctional as it may be.

Rgruppe is in the midwest as well, just not sure where and when they meet when the weather is nice/nicer? Hint, hint...

I will never look at pizza and beer the same way again!

Surely someone here from R Gruppe will recommend this guy for honorary membership AND put his vid on their web page.

Discussing authentic period correct parts is easy. Comedy is hard.

Ray,
I have no problem with you posting it. I am just looking forward to the opportunity to drink beer and eat pizza with you guys someday. I will be the one in the racing shoes. LOL.

"Just don't call me Shirley"

Hey. That's my line.

I'm anticipating more animated parking lot observations from bgyglfr. Suggested topics might include:
  • Holy grail sport seats
  • Rubbing paint versus driving car
  • Current market value of orig. hood emblems, shift knobs and early tool kit screwdrivers
  • black audi wagons

Now that puts the pressure on. Actually, click the link on the video. Like the site says, anyone who can type can make videos. Maybe we should start a video thread.

A video thread is a good idea, but as James Cameron (Avatar) realizes (or if he cares), it's still the content that rules..... other than the tens of millions who swoon over CGI, 3-D and special effects. Thus, if it's possible, please include them in your next video, just to be sure.

Try contacting Curt Egerer in the Early 911S Registry. He is very active in/Fuehrer of the Midwest R Gruppe. Home Page:PORSCHE EARLY 911S REGISTRY
