But this is one of my favorite views, so industrial, so hard and unforgiving, so purposeful and so very, very intimidating:

One should note, stock doors with Flag delete using Vitalonis instead, speaker delete and RSA door panels installed weight 66 lbs each.

The carbon/fiber glass doors weigh 10 lbs each.

Ahab, that's exactly what you are seeing - temporary (but sturdy) attachment to get us through a photo shoot that evening (less than 4 hours after Gabriel flew out!)

Although the attachment shown would most likely be sufficient (downward pressure), the wing is getting a full depth flange contoured to the underside, bonded and riveted for the permanent set up.

Good eye, though - it's hard to digest individual details with so many interesting photos flying about.

Thanks Keith, what can I say I'm a details sort of person.

Hope you like this wing, it's one I designed way back when I was a youth.

We did a static load test with 22 bags of sand to prove it was safe to run. When you see a stack of 55lb bags 3 across and over 7 high it tends to leave an impression on you of what loads these things have to take to be safe.

I emailed this thread to a few friends at work today and it got the big thumbs up as what you guys are building for Gabe is fantastic.

Thanks -we appreciate that.

Gabe - we appreciate the love from you as well - to be honest, we appreciate being able to build this stuff for you guys - there are a lot of other things we could be doing for a living that aren't nearly as satisfying.

Here is a teaser of what the rush was about last Sunday:

Gabe,
Just an idea but you may want to consider doing something very simple that will provide additional support to your turbo's and exhaust. Lot of weight in those snails. If you look at post 83 someone put a picture of my yellow 935 ... you can easily develop a bracket that goes from the turbo to your rear chassis/engine mount to provide some extra support and insurance from all that weight beings supported by the exhaust/heads.

Just a thought.... fantastic job everyone is doing on the car.

Van, I actually didn't grab pics of it, but we have supports for the wastegate and turbos that attach to the 935 engine mount, but both sides weren't completed before the photo shoot sadly.

Good eye and yes those snails are heavy last thing we want is the headers to sag once they heat up on the dyno. Aaron is doing those and i'm sure I can ask him to post pics of his wonderful art when he's done

And thank you for the kind words - coming from you, its the highest honor.

Thanks brother - the medal should go to the Kremer brothers who designed it - and to the pit crews, drivers and teams that pushed these things into the anals of history.

One little thing that I didn't mention earlier is Aaron and Keith are hard after the max from this motor via efficient usage of fuel etc. So they recommended to go with CDI boxes from Australia for sequential spark to fire at 2 optimal times during the cycle.

Tell me these aren't sexy

Whoops.. I think you meant the annals of history. The anals of history are probably not a very nice place to be :-)

Seriously though.. sick project, and very impressive attention to the details.

Now THAT was funny! "Pushed these things into the anals of history" dammit that's funny. Kind of like what Obama is doing?
