Wow Doug, it sounds awesome. I can only magine how great it really sounds in person. Man those are some big numbers for a 3.6 ! That gear-box has some real goodies going on. I can't wait to see it back up here in PDX. And I thought that your car was fast before.....

Farily sure I autox'd with you a couple times. KERMIE license plate, right? It's been a while but loved your car before. Hope you make it out again, that's gonna be a beast.

Great photos but I found this one particularly interesting.

It would make a great wall poster for my study.

Any chance getting bigger version? (please)

Doug, since you did the RSR conversion do you still have & want to sell your RS front & rear bumpers?

hi Marc:

Thanks for the inquiry.
I believe the rear RS touring bumpers were already sold.
And the front bumper was modified (widened) and re-used to fit the wider front turbo flares.
Cheers

Peter:

Send me your email address, and I'll send you the jpg 8.0 megapixels that came out of my cheap little camera.

Glad you like it.
One of my favorite as well.

Yes, the same old Kermie....at your service.

Should make the auto-x in June.
Hopefully.
You can then see the "new and improved" Kermie.

Look forward to catching up with all the old Oregon PCA auto-x gang.
:D

Dude......you are so going to be driving this car this summer at one of the track events.
Plus you were one of the main instigators to even allow me to fall down the "slippery slope" so far.
Thanks man....

So get your diapers ready, because you're going to need them with this car.
:p

Yours is definitely a cool and very unique car, Mark.
I really like those Sycip triple outlet exhausts.
Unfortunately, they don't flow enough for a big 3.6 or that would have been one of my 1st choices for a muffler on my car.:(

I'm going to try the M&K, but even it has a bit of a dip in the torque curve.
Some of the shop guys thought some kind of crossover tube might have helped that.....but how to improvise such a thing on this muffler?

jmz 06-21-2010 09:14 AM

so have you driven it yet? Lets hear about this brute!

cary 06-21-2010 09:19 AM

Doug, I checked my corner balance sheets. I'm 2357# as you saw it yesterday.

skinnerd 06-21-2010 09:45 AM

Jay:

I hear it has been moving under it's own power down in Van Nuys.
Have had some trouble with wheels....who would have thought.
Tough getting any kind of wide wheel halves now with a decent schedule.
But I may have an interim set located, meaning I could pick the car up in the next week.

I have heard the shop refer to it as a "torque monster," so we'll see soon enough.

I will be driving it home from LA to Portland, OR via the scenic route.
Likely through the mountains....Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Lassen Volcanic, etc....then up through southern Oregon, Crater Lake and many other very nice places.
Just might take me a few days to get home.
But rest assured, the engine will be properly and more importantly, fullen broken upon arrival at my doorstep.

I'll definitely post some finished pics and my thoughts on the finished product.

Wow, that's pretty light Cary.

I am hoping I'll be in the same ballpark weight-wise.

Ferrariguyma 06-21-2010 10:25 AM
